About Carolina:
Carolina del Rivero began dancing at age 6 and has trained extensively across multiple disciplines. She studied ballet at the world-renowned Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires and later pursued modern dance at the Taller de Danza Contemporánea del Teatro San Martín.
She discovered tango in 1995 and has been teaching and performing internationally since 2000, with appearances across the United States, Europe, and beyond. Carolina has been a sought-after instructor and performer at major tango festivals throughout the Americas and Europe.
From 2001 to 2014, she was a featured master teacher and dancer at the Congreso Internacional de Tango Argentino (C.I.T.A), the world’s largest annual tango event in Buenos Aires. She and Ricardo have continued teaching and performing together at C.I.T.A. since 2024.
Drawing from her diverse dance background, Carolina brings elegance, depth, and precision to tango. She is known for her strong technical understanding and her ability to clearly communicate the nuances of the follower’s role.
She is also a certified practitioner of the Feldenkrais Method (graduated 2020), a movement-based approach that enhances body awareness and efficiency. Carolina integrates this work into her tango teaching, helping students move with greater ease and effectiveness.
