11am-12pm: "Why We Love Zouk"
Several dancers in the Olympia are quickly falling in love with Zouk. Through some foundations and games discover the allure of Zouk as you experience a journey of connection, expression, and sheer joy on the dance floor. This class is for dancers of all levels and backgrounds.
1-2pm: "Everyone is a follow" with Cora Shultz
This unique and inclusive dance experience invites dancers of all backgrounds and identities to explore the art of dance. Cora emphasizes the importance of active listening and empathy, as these qualities form the foundation of fusion dance's beauty and spontaneity. Even Though this is a “fusion” class these ideas will help you build all of your partner dances. This class is for dancers of all levels and backgrounds.
12-1pm: "An intro to Dimestop and Robot" with the Amazing Anthony
Residing in Washington’s evergreen capitol, The Amazing Anthony has called Olympia home for the last 10 years. Over the last 15 years The Amazing Anthony has honed his skills in funk styles of dance, juggling, hat tricks, object balancing/manipulation, and sleight of hand coin and card magic, joke telling & comedy, and public speaking. Over the last decade he has performed at numerous festivals and events around Washington state. When asked about his performance a spectator stated, “It’s magic, it’s all just magic”.

2-3pm: "Burlesque chair dance" with Roman
We are so lucky to have Roman from Iconic Ballroom teaching at the Summer Gathering. Prepare for the Sexy Psychedelic Fusion dance with a class suitable for people of all body types and skill levels. It’s a stripped down intro to the basics of chair dancing through a burlesque perspective, you will learn to integrate props into your dance in a way that is safe and fun for your body.This is a class you will not want to miss

Delve into the soulful rhythms of blues and the improvisational flair of jazz as you learn to express emotions through movement. Feel the music's heartfelt melodies as you embrace the freedom of self-expression, while honing your technique and connecting with fellow dancers. This is the perfect class to prepare you for the live music we we are hosting
